Each is used when we think of things separately, one by one. Each is more usual for a small number.
Each  อีซ แปลว่า แต่ละ, คนละ ใช้ในกรณีที่เราพูดถึงสิ่งของที่แยกออกมาจากกันเป็นเอกเทศ เป็นแต่ละสิ่ง แต่ละอย่าง ไม่รวมกัน เช่น
Each book was a different color.
Each of the books is a different color.
Every is used when we think of things as a group. The meaning is similar to all. Every is more usual for a large number.
Every เอฟเวอรี่ แปลว่า ทุกๆ, ทั้งหมดใช้ในกรณีที่เราพูดถึงสิ่งของทั้งหมด เป็นกลุ่ม ไม่แยกออกจากกัน เช่น
Every book in the library was a different color.
Every one these books is a different color.
จากประโยคตัวอย่างข้างบน เราจะสังเกตุเห็นได้ว่า each และ every ถูกใช้ในรูปของเอกพจน์ และคำกริยาที่ตามหลังคำเหล่านี้ก็เป็นรูปเอกพจน์เช่นกัน
อนึ่ง เราสามารถใช้ each โดดๆโดยที่ไม่ต้องมีคำนามตามหลัง แต่เราจะไม่ใช้ every ในกรณีนี้
None of the room was the same, each was different. [each room]
The students were each given a book. [each student]
These durians cost 150 bahts each. [each durian]
